I
skiied in Europe last year for the first time.
It was really awesome. There were almost never
any trees on the runs. The lifts were especially
fun -- cable cars, gondolas, underground trains,
T-bars, and chairs. The great thing about the
skiing at Val D'Isere is that even if you stayed
there for a week, you couldn't get to all the
ski runs. I loved the little towns we passed through
on the way to Val D'Isere and I loved going down
to town and hearing the French speak. A cool thing
to do is to buy a crepe at Creperie Grand Marnier.
The best part of the skiing was the underground
train that went up to a glacier. Well, there are
so many other great qualities about European skiing
I guess you'll just have to go and experience
them all yourself! Kristine and her daughter Anna
will organize a great vacation for you because
I know they did for me!

Kristine:
What
a wonderful place Val d'Isère is. We all
deemed the trip an infinite success and were truly
saddened to leave that charming town. I must also
mention that it was a pleasure to finally meet
with you and put a face with the name.
I
did not get the opportunity to send a note to
you before we left, so I thought I would send
you a quick email
We
LOVE Bon Ski. Your service was invaluable. Part
of the reason our vacation was so enjoyed was
the simple fact that everything worked without
any problems. The taxis (from and to Bourg St
Maurice) arrived on time and were pre-paid, the
hotel was arranged and no major 'glitches'occurred,
the ski rental was pre-arranged and we encountered
no problems there either.. everything went like
clock-work..
THANK
YOU.
We
thoroughly enjoyed our time in France (upon discussion
decided that Val d'Isère was by far the
more interesting and charming leg of our trip
and that Paris somehow paled in comparison!) and
will be returning, hopefully sometime before the
end of the year
Kristine,
thank you again, for all of your assistance. You
provide a wonderful service.
Regards,
Candace

Dear
Kris,
Ever
since my vacation at Val d'Isère the first week
of February I have wanted to write you to thank you
for all you did to make the week outstanding.
It
all began in December when I was in Denver and knew
I wanted to ski Val d'Isère and had no idea where
to begin. Someone in Colorado suggested I phone Alpine
Experience at Val d'Isère.
The
man who answered the phone said: "You should get
in touch with Kris O'Brien," and he gave me your
number. I phoned you and immediately I felt the relief
of knowing that all my vacation needs were in the hands
of someone who truly cared.
You
arranged for my lodging at Chamois d'Or, where the accommodations
and food were excellent; you reserved seats on the bus
from Lyon; you arranged for the rental of ski equipment
at a discounted price; and when we arrived in town a
day early, you secured emergency lodging for one night
with a friend of yours.
Over
and above that, you contacted a friend of yours associated
with Alpine Experience to guide us and acquaint us with
the myriad of lifts and pistes at Val d'Isère
and Tignes. I could not have asked for more.
I
have friends in Denver who would like to come to Val
d'Isère sometime in the future to ski and you
can be sure that they will have your name.
Sincerely
yours,
"Stringfellow"

Kristine,
We
had a wonderful time -- you did a fantastic job.
Everything worked like clockwork except for the
weather on Sunday.
We
really enjoyed the Hotel Savoyard. The inn keeper
was charming and the food was the best that we
had on the trip. Enjoyed Les 'Arc also.
Bottom
line is that you did the best job of any travel
agent that I have ever worked with. Good job,
I really appreciate it!
My
brother is an attorney in Pittsburgh, and I will
have him spread the word about your company. Maybe
he can help you get some more home town business.
Regards,
Steve

"The
slopes are ready for you every day. From beginner to expert,
you will find a fantastic playground -- and there are unbelievable
snow parks for free stylers. If you love to ride on powder
and ungroomed terrain, the off-piste (marked off runs) in
and around Val d'Isère are, quite simply, exceptional!
All varieties of snow and steepness are here -- bumps, long
runs down, gently sloping valleys and steep descents into
virgin powder wait for you. Helicopter drops open up a new
dimension in the snowboarders world-endless rides in incredible
conditions! Wow!"

Bonjour,
I hope to meet you in person soon. I am Wayne
Watson and I grew up skiing in the Banff-Lake Louise area
of Canada. I am one of the founders of Alpine
Experience, an off-piste guiding service and ski school based
in Val d'Isère. I have spent the last 17 years dedicating
myself to off-piste skiing and needless to say I am considered
an expert. I love to share my knowledge and experience with
others and have worked constantly to refine their teaching
of the techniques needed to ski in deep and varied snow conditions.
Would you like to learn them?
I stress
the need to be keenly aware of your surroundings, (which I
might add are beautiful here)and to concentrate. One of my
favorite tips? -- As a friend of Kristine's I can tell you
--
"Never
congratulate yourself while you are still in motion."

I am
Gerard Mattis. I was
born in Val d'Isère and have never wanted to leave.
I am a ski instructor and shopkeeper in town. I created the
Val Gliss ski classes and Mattis
explorations. I will reveal to you the secrets of my unique
methods so that you will accomplish spectacular feats. If
you desire the best in skis and boots I can help you in my
store and as a friend of Kristine's you can test them. I know
you will be pleased. As we say here...Bon
Ski!

Bonjour,
my name
is Ilse and I am waiting with my team of experts to take you
on an unforgettable exploration of the Nine
Valleys. We always find the best untracked routes and
my clients know that if I we make a long, hard climb, they
will be rewarded by an amazing descent. We help our visitors
accomplish things they never thought possible and take them
to places they would not have ventured to on their own. It
is very satisfying to accomplish wondrous and great things
and all things are possible here in the mountains of Val d'Isère.
Some
of my personal tips for you while you are here in Val d'Isère
are:
|
|
Remember
to look up from your ski tips and take in the majesty
of the mountains. |
|
|
Red
wine at lunch gives you strength for the afternoon. |
|
|
Beer
after skiing quenches your thirst and gets you fit for
the evening. |
|
|
So
Au Revoir for now. We hope to see
you soon. |

Hello,
my name is Gilles Salah. I was born 36 years ago in Bourgogne
near the celebrated vineyards known to the entrie world: Gevrey-Chambertin,
Romanée-Conti, Clos Vougeot, Chassagne-Montrachet...
But I, never the less, left this beautiful region of France
to go to Val d'Isère. And Yes! Won over by the Alps.
It is now 15 years that I have lived and worked here.
I have
traversed the mountains in all ways; in the summer by hiking
and rock climbing, in winter on snowshoes and on skins...but,
above all I fly over them with my PARASAIL! And this grand
spectacle that this gives me, I can share with others by initiating
them to the sport or by taking them with me as a passenger
under my two-place parasail.
It is
like this that I introduced Kristine and Anna, her daughter,
to this wonderful experience. A bit afraid, but very excited,
they were sent into the air under the encouragement of Andrée,
my wife, a friend of Kristine and Anna's first grade teacher
in Val d'Isère.
Anna
was able to share, as soon as she landed, her impressions
with my son, Pierre, who also loves to come down the mountain
under the parasail of his father. Anna and Pierre are great
friends and specialists on snowballs, snowmen and constructing
igloos.
We
are waiting for you on the pistes
and in the skies of Val d'Isère.
